I don't care what people say.
I’m sure my foster mom, Dee, was ecstatic to see Viola wig-less and see that people thought she was beautiful without it. Calling attention to it isn’t in bad taste. In my opinion, it’s affirming for kids like my younger foster sister to see strong, beautiful, black women au natural and know that they’re beautiful too.

I like to think about the universe and feel really big and extremely small at the same time. kind of like being silly putty and getting pulled apart really far and then smashing yourself back together into a big ball.
